Note - I recommend, as a beginner, that you initially learn to fly-fish on a lake, where you can learn how to cast and have a realistic chance of catching fish, without the added complication of moving water.

Usually held on the River Wharfe at Bolton Abbey.
Aimed at those who fish stillwaters and want to try river fly fishing; anglers that fish rivers but have never had instruction from a river 'specialist'; or anglers who think they are not catching their share of the fish when fishing a river.
One to one tuition unless you want to bring a friend or relative.
Price includes permit, use of fishing tackle (including waders) and flies.
Course covers:- wet fly fishing (North Country Spiders), the 'Duo' and 'Trio', upstream nymph, Czech nymphing, dry fly fishing and maybe even Tenkara and French nymphing.
River specific fly casting if required e.g. Spey casting and roll casting.
Entomology, imitation and fly selection explained.
